Overview

Welcome to the xOTA documentation! This guide serves as the central hub for understanding all of xOTA’s features, capabilities, and tools. Whether you’re a casual POTA hunter, a seasoned SOTA activator, or someone who simply enjoys operating off-grid, xOTA is designed to help the portable activator or hunter.

xOTA provides a unified platform for:

  • Real-time spot visualization for POTA and SOTA
  • Off-grid self-spotting via satellite messengers and radio-based data protocols
  • Quick weather snapshots and atmospheric condition reports
  • Activity monitoring for parks, summits, and callsigns
  • Integrated logbook tools, with syncing across all your devices
  • Rig control (coming soon) to streamline hunting workflows
  • Alerts and notifications based on your preferences
  • Fully web-based access with native apps planned for desktop and mobile

All features are designed for low-bandwidth environments, making xOTA ideal for field operations where connectivity is limited or unreliable.
